课程介绍

Description This course is designed for PhD Students of non -English major who are preparing to engage in scientific research in a variety of academic disciplines. For the students, the ability to write up the results of their own research in the form of technical reports, theses, dissertations, and particularly of journal manuscripts for publication is a key to their success as university students and as professionals in their own disciplines. Our purpose is to show students how to link their research activities with written reports that conform to the expectations of the English-speaking scientific/academic community, and to help students acquire skills in writing the English of experimental research reports in a good setting. Prerequisites It is assumed that students will take courses in research methods and statistical analysis as part of their advanced studies or that they may already have their background. Grades The final grade will be based on the students' performance on the final exam, the courses and the assignments. Remarkable effort and improvement will not go unnoticed.
