生物信息学是生物技术、生物科学和生物工程专业的学科基础选修课。随着人类基因组计划及随之而来的大规模全基因组测序工作的开展，生物信息学已经成为生命科学研究中必不可少的研究方法和手段，与新技术一起，推动生物学研究的发展。通过本课程的学习，学生将理解和掌握生物信息学基础理论、研究方法和技术手段，并能够灵活运用所学知识，分析和解决实验中的具体问题。通过本门课程的学习，将为生物信息学手段应用于生命科学研究中实际问题的解决，奠定坚实的理论和技术基础。本课程理论与实践并重，主要内容包括序列比对，数据库搜索和系统发育分析等。 Bioinformatics is an optional basic course for undergraduate students majored in biotechnology, bioengineering and bioscience. With the introduction of Human Genome Project and the subsequent high through-put sequencing projects of various organisms, bioinformatics has becoming an indispensable methods for biological research, which combines with new technologies, accelerated the progress of biological research. Students will understand the basic theory, methods and techniques in bioinformatics with this course, and are expected to analyze and solve specific practice questions flexibly. This course will lay the theoretical and technical foundation for students to solve practical questions of life science research. This course focuses both on the theoretical background and day to day practice, topics to be covered include sequence alignment, sequence database search, and phylogenetic inference etc.
